Today,
Escarsa offers its voice and data services in 24 of the 28 municipal
areas that conform the Cordoba Department in Colombia. Its last generation
wireless network allows it to cover the cities and towns as well
as most of the rural area in each municipality.
In Monteria, the Capital of the Department, Escarsa installed a 10 Kilometer
fiber optic network that connects the main station with a series of remote
substations allowing it to cover the central and southern parts of the city
with cutting edge wire technology with REDSI and wide band services.
Escarsa’s clients, both urban and rural, use the telephone service to
navigate the Internet at speeds of 56 Kbps. In Monteria, this service can be
provided with speeds up to 1920 Kbps using REDSI or DSL technology.
Escarsa is constantly researching the latest technological developments in
the telecommunications fields, so as to adopt them and be able to offer its
clients a better and more dependable service.
