For almost one hundred years, Bico Internacional has been a company specializing in the design, production and distribution of school and college level supplies as well as office and personal stationery products.

Under the established brand name Norma, it offers school children, young and higher education students as well as professionals and consumers of all ages a complete line of products that help in the tasks of record keeping, filing, writing, and information management and communication.

Bico Internacional covers two market areas: educational and office products.

Educational Market

Bico Internacional aims to satisfy the needs and preferences of the Latin-American youth from the time they start school to when they graduate from college.

Office Market

Bico Internacional designs, produces, and markets office supplies and stationery products that guarantee maximum efficiency in information management and processing, helping to improve productivity and competitiveness.

Products

Notepads, accounting books, envelopes, paper rolls, paper, hanging folders and more, all manufactured in automated paper and plastics conversion plants.

It also manufactures dot matrix, inkjet, laser and thermal transfer printer supplies and cartridges, responding to the growing needs of the Information Technology market

Bico Internacional operates directly in eleven Latin American countries as follows:

Brazil
Caderbrás S.A., in Sao Paulo services the local market and exports to distributors in the United States and some European and African countries.

Colombia
Here it operates two separate companies: Bico Internacional S.A. manufacturing and distributing the Norma line of products, and Productos El Cid S. A. in association with Propal, the largest paper mill in Colombia.

Costa Rica
Bico Internacional de Costa Rica S.A.

Ecuador
Carvajal S.A. Trade, in Quito.


El Salvador
Bico Internacional de El Salvador S.A., in San Salvador. This company also services the Nicaraguan market.

Guatemala

Bico Internacional’s Production Plants

Bico Internacional operates three plants strategically located throughout Latin America so as to fulfill local demand and be able to export to the other countries in the region, both through its own companies and to direct clients:

.Mexico City (Mexico)
Produces a complete line of school products and exports to other Central American countries.

Pirassununga (Sao Paulo State, Brazil)
A broad range of school and office products are manufactured in this facility.

Yumbo (Colombia)
The complete line of school and office products is produced in this plant to service the Colombian market, and through its subsidiaries, it exports to various countries in Latin America.

The Colombian plant was awarded the First Prize in Excellence in Productivity Improvement by the JIPM (Japan Institute of Plant Maintenance).
In August of 2007, Bico Internacional S.A. is given these certifications:
